The Best Hairstyles For Hot Days

Spring has sprung, and that means warmer weather! The only thing about warmer weather? Sticky, sweaty days when you just want our hair up and out of the way. So to leave you looking #flawless and effortlessly put together without ruining your style, here are 5 hair trends I love for you to try out this Spring!
The modern sleek pony
Sleek ponytails have been cool since the 90’s, but keeping it high and flirty makes this iconic style a bit more modern and effortlessly cool. The height will also give you the added bonus of keeping your neck cool. Brush your hair up to the point you want it at, making sure to get rid of any bumps and lumps, then add a little gel to the roots and comb it in for the super sleek feel. Once it’s tied off, add some bends with your hair straightener to random pieces of hair, and don’t forget to loop a piece around the hairtie to finish.
The SUPER messy bun
Ah, yes. The messy bun. The classic lazy girl’s go to, to get out of the house in 2 minutes flat. We’ve all been there, no time to fix our hair, but just enough to throw it all together in a bun, that..hey, looks pretty darn good if you ask me. Make yours super messy by leaving a loose strands around your face to frame it, and don’t tie it off too tightly.
The fishtail braided halo
The look is so sweet and angelic. It can work for a casual outing, but become elegant and dressed up depending on how you style it! Fishtails look trickier than they actually are – you might want to check out a vlog how-to like this one, but generally it’s the art of tying off a pony, splitting it in two, and taking alternate pieces from each side and wrapping over to the other.
The textured high pony
Those curls…to die for. Give your pony life and volume by first pulling all your hair back and up into as high a pony as it will go, but loosely. Then, pull it tight to get texture and “lumps” on the slicked back part – this look is meant to be a bit messy. Add your curls once you have the pony sorted – or scrunch through some volume powder and just go with texture. Such a easy, fast look to accomplish.
The double buns
Double the fun, amirite? The fun thing about this style is that it’s kinda cute and sexy at the same time. It’s literally the art of tying off two messy buns – no how-to even needed here.
